Same food stamp regs, somewhat better links

The California Department of Social Services (CDSS) has made modest, somewhat helpful improvements in its web access to the California Food Stamp regulations. (California has yet to yield to use of “SNAP,” the new federal name for the food stamp program.) Previously, CDSS had posted its food stamp regulations in unwieldy PDF files that often combined multiple regulatory sections. Now, the regulations are posted in somewhat less unwieldy subsections. For example, looking for a list of all the “eligibility standards” subsections in MPP § 63-400? Helpful, yes. But when you download what you think is a particular subsection, you discover that CDSS still bundles multiple subsections together. That’s how that works.

The LSNC food stamp program page has been updated to reflect the new CDSS arrangement.
